I use an integrative approach to therapy, combining humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and solution-focused techniques to meet you where you are.
What does this actually mean?I use my training and experience to develop a personalized approach that allows us to focus on your specific needs and goals, whether that’s finding coping strategies, identifying concrete solutions to current problems, or going deeper and exploring patterns of thinking, feeling and relationships that you are wanting to change. I often help clients gain clarity, insight and understanding about their inner life, and assist folks in navigating life more authentically YOU through challenges, changes, and growth. I can help you in many ways to improve self-compassion, clarity, and improve confidence. Above all, I emphasize empathy, connection, and empowerment—creating a safe space where you feel heard and supported.

As a therapist for teens, I work teens and parents to navigate the complexities of adolescence, including identity development, emotional regulation, and peer relationships. I help teens process their feelings and behaviors while also supporting parents in understanding and managing their child’s needs. My work involves fostering communication between both parties, addressing family dynamics, and guiding the whole family through challenges such as conflict, boundaries, and emotional well-being. This requires empathy, patience, and the ability to balance the perspectives of both the teen and the parents.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Central Michigan University and a Master of Social Work from Michigan State University. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various settings, including supporting parents and children in a virtual school, assisting individuals experiencing homelessness in New York City, and working with adults facing serious mental health challenges in a community mental health setting. These diverse experiences have shaped my compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy.
